I am once again taking requests for telephone consultations.
Phone consultations are available for people who live outside the Philadelphia area who are:
After the telephone session is scheduled, I will email you a questionnaire to fill out and return about your current situation and concerns. This process is designed to help you to think about how to best utilize your consultation.
Clients often find that scheduling a series of three or five sessions accomplishes more than a single session. Multiple sessions allows more time to get comfortable with this form of communication. Between-session assignments are suggested with a series of calls.
Phone consultations are available for mental health professionals who would like Joanne's guidance concerning work with gay or lesbian indviduals or couples, as well as for couples dealing with a gay or lesbian spouse or with any of the individuals involved in that exploration.
Joanne is a trained couples therapist and provides information and communication techniques for people unable to identify specialists where they live. Her policy of privacy protection follows the same guidelines as the HIPPA requirements of her private therapy practice. Confidentiality is always of utmost importance.

I won't say that I've found complete peace, but I feel more settled than I have in 18 months. I spoke to Michelle and she also is having this feeling. Thanks for reminding me to enjoy each day as it comes." - Genevieve
